There are two different units:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is an eleven bed intensive-care unit specialising in the care of ill or premature newborn infants.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) has a facility supported by five intensive-care units dedicated to take care of the critically ill infants, children, and teenagers.
The medical and nursing teams work closely together allowing great flexibility whilst taking care of the neonates, infants and children who are critically ill and in need of close observation, monitoring and frequent interventions.
