Sending images over the internet to a location remote to where they are aquired for purpose of reporting is called Teleradiology. This facility has been available at Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital for the last one year.

Provision for reporting plain radiograph, CT, MR and USG are available. Both routine day time as well as emergency facilities may be availed. Turn around times vary from eight hours in case of routine scans and one hour in case of emergency scans.

Using this facility, second opinion on problematic cases can also be availed of. Multiple internet lines, including a lease line, redundant line and a wireless connection ensure that the centre remains online reliably.
