Qualification

  • Worked at Guy’s Hospital, London, as a visiting fellow for a period of little more than six months in 1989. (Got exposure to vast field of modern imaging, with special attention to Neuroradiology, small part Ultrasonography, Peripheral Colour Doppler, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography and CT scanning.)
  • Short visiting fellowship in UCSF at San Francisco for a period of two weeks in December 1993. (Attended advanced training courses in Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging )
  • Attended RSNA, 1993, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2011 in Chicago.
  • In July 2000, got trained in Pasadena California for MR Spectroscopy by attaending short fellowship.
  • In July 2000, got trained in Cornell University New York for Peripheral MR Angiography.
  • In 2003, attended a cardiac workshop on MRI in Bangkok organized by Phillips medical system.

Awards and Achievements

  • Organizer of Nanavati MRI Teaching course which is conducted on annual basis from 2001 to till date. This is attended by 300- 350 radiologists from across the country and also from Bangladesh, Nepal and Africa every year.
  • Organized a number of MSRA meetings as IRIA (Maharashtra Chapter) president and secretary.
  • Organizing Secretary of 60TH annual conference of IRIA – 2007, Mumbai 4th – 7th January, 2007, This is attended by 3500 radiologist across country.
  • PRORAD Training Course for Technologists and biomedical students which is conducted on annual basis from 2010 to till date. Which was attended by 150 groups of Technicians, radiologists and engineers across country every year.
  • B2B (Back to basics) training series for Radiologists and students covering basics of radiology in various subspecialties, which is conducted annually from 2009 to till date
  • EDURAD (Capsule) courses for radiology students to prepare them comprehensively before appearing for exams, which is conducted in no.of series annually from 2009 to till date.
