 Department of Orthopaedics at Nanavati hospital would be hosting the first of its kind, workshop on Minimal Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis… a technique where fracture of long bones are fixed with plates using minimal invasive or small incisions so as to have less morbidity, faster recovery and quicker way of getting back to work!
Nanavati hospital has been fortunate enough to be the first to possess the A.O. M.I.P.O. instrumentation set since 2006. With ample poytrauma due to close proximity to the Western Express Highway we are in forefront for handling orthopedic trauma care. We have been inculcating the A.O. principles in trauma care and follow the M.I.P.O principles since its inception. With increased patient awareness regarding Minimal Invasive Surgery we thought it would be apt to have a first of its kind workshop on M.I.P.O. - Techniques and its principles. |

Bariatric (Obesity) Surgical Camp:
Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital conducted a “FREE OBESITY SURGICAL CAMP” on 20th September, 2009 between 10.00am to 6.00pm at the OPD.
This camp included Free BMI, Free Body Fat Analysis, Free Diabetic Check-up and Free Direct Consultation by our eminent consultant Dr. Naresh Singhi – Bariatric (Obesity) Surgeon who consulted and assessed the participants for Bariatric Surgery. 100 people attended this camp which was a great success. |

World Heart Day:
Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital would be celebrating the “World Heart Day” on 26th September, 2009 to commemorate the International Heart Day.
We would be conducting a seminar on the theme “Working towards Wellness”, wherein our eminent consultants Dr. Akshay Mehta (Cardiologist) and Dr. Manoj Agni (Cardiac Surgeon) would impart information on “Reversing Coronary Heart Disease” and “Necessity of Cardiac Surgery – Straight from the Heart” respectively followed by demonstration on Physical Exercise and Functional Food Programme.
